Lucia Sanchis Alfonso

Lucia Sanchis Alfonso was born in Ontinyent and studied at the Conservatory of Music “Salvador Seguí” in Castellón with Professor Bruno Vidal Moreno and at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn (Estonia) with the professors Mari Tampere- Bezrodny and Tõnu Reimann. In 2007 she graduated in Music Education at the University Jaume I of Castellón de la Plana, in 2011 obtained the Bachelor Degree in Violin in Castellon de la Plana, and in 2014 received her diploma as Master in Violin Interpretation in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn.

Lucia has been a member of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Catalonia (JONC), Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castellón (JOSC), International Regions Symphony Orchestra (IRO) of Germany, The World Orchestra (TWO), and the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra (YMSO) in London and Philharmonie der Animato Stiftung (Switzerland) and has taken part in festivals such as Young Euro Classic in Berlin Konzerthaus, Musikfest in Stuttgart and Obertsdorfer Musiksommer Musikfest. She has collaborated in two projects with the Estonian National Orchestra (ERSO) and performed under the direction of conductors such as Manel Valdivieso, Sergio Alapont, Hermann Bäumer, Neeme, and Kristjan Järvi, among others.

She has been awarded a scholarship by the Valencian Institute of Youth, the Ministry of Education in Spain, the Archimedes Foundation, and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater.

She has attended masterclasses with Professors Rida Talan, Vasko Vassilev, Michael Vaiman, and Alexandru Gavrilovici.

Lucia is currently a member of the Vanemuine Theater Orquestra in Tartu, and a violin teacher in Võru music school (Estonia).
