Sergio Llorente was born in Madrid and currently based in Bergen, Norway. He begins his musical education with Nuria Felix at Conservatory of Guadalajara “Sebastian Durón”, and finishes with Alfredo García at Conservatory “Amaniel” (Madrid). He completed his Bachelor and Master studies in the class of Mari Tampere-Bezrodny, being awarded two times Summa Cum Laude and obtaining Results-based scholarship in 2018.
He has expanded his musical education in courses such as Aldebarán (Spain), San Esteban de Gormaz (Spain), Sierra Academy of Music (California, USA), eight editions of the Intl. Music Course of Benicàssim (Spain), Musical Summer Intl. Festival (Spain), Kuressaare Summer Academy (Estonia) and in the Loutraki Intl. Music Festival (Greece).
He has received master classes from Mari Tampere-Bezrodny, M. Pogosyan, Alexander Vinitsky, Natalia Lomeiko, Peeter Laul, Bruno Vidal, Ana Comesaña, Aurelius Goliński, E. C. Schönweiss, Ana Laukhina, Rebecca Hang, Lina Bahn, Emma Noel Votapek, and Alfredo García.
He has great interest in pedagogical activities, and has experience teaching both violin and music theory since 2015. Also, he did pedagogical assistance for the violin section at Cantare Projekt in Heidelberg and Mannheim, Germany.
In chamber music, he developed his studies under the tuition of Prof. Marje Lohuaru. He has wide experience working and performing in many different ensembles; duos, trios, string quartets, piano quartets, and piano quintets. He was awarded second prize in the II EAMT Piano Chamber Music Competition, and in this field, he received master classes from Dr. Evan Rothstein, Audun Sandvik, Pierre Doumenge, Peter Laul, Lea Leiten, Nokuthula Ngwenyama, K. Sellheim, and K. Jankowska-Borzykowska among others. He is a member of BOREAS ensemble.
In orchestra, he has collaborated with Tallinn International Youth Orchestra (TIYO), Meraki Orchestra, Pärnu City Orchestra (PLO), Southern-Estonia Orchestra, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO), Bergen Chamber Orchestra (BKO), and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (BFO). He holds regular collaborations with Opera Bergen Orchestra, Bergen Youth Chamber Orchestra (BUKO), and Bergen Youth Philarmonic Orchestra (BFUng).
